Dr. Brian Inbody

Neosho County Community College

Welcome to the NCCC website and thank you for investigating our wonderful college. We know that you have many educational choices. When you compare what NCCC has to offer, you will see why more and more students are choosing NCCC.

Here is what students who have chosen NCCC say about us:

“Great Programs”

NCCC offers innovative creative programs that will help you get the job you need and to help you be successful in a bachelor’s degree program. We offer a wide range of programs, certificates and degrees at the college.  While many of our students are working the first two years of a bachelor’s degree, over half our graduates are going straight into the workplace through one of our many career and technical education (CTE) programs.  As a comprehensive community college we offer everything from Art, Theatre, Music, Education, Pre-Med, and other bachelor’s degree-path programs to a large number of CTE programs like Nursing, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Sonography, Welding, Plumbing, Automotive, HVAC and Electrical.  Click here to check out the expansive list of great programs.

“Excellent faculty with small class sizes”

Our programs are taught by some of the finest faculty members of any college. You won’t get 300-person auditorium classes taught by a graduate assistant at NCCC. Our average class size is 12 and our instructors are all degreed professionals with many years in their profession and in college teaching.  All instructors know our motto: Student success is our success. We are not successful as instructors unless you are as our student. Our instructors’ commitment to student success does not end when class is over. Our instructors were rated very high by the students on availability outside the classroom.

“NCCC meets me where I am, and they care”

NCCC prides itself in being open and welcoming to all students regardless of their background.  The college values every student and celebrates differences through its commitment to diversity.  NCCC attracts students from all over the United States and the world.  You’ll meet people just like you and also many from other walks of life in the same classroom.  It will be a very enriching experience!

To help students be successful in all academic areas, NCCC takes extraordinary measures to ensure student success.  We have free, unlimited face-to-face and online tutoring for all students for any subject. The Chapman Learning Center on the Chanute campus and the Teaching and Learning Center on the Ottawa campus provide individual and group tutoring with extended hours. In fact, the Chapman Learning Center is open 24 hours a day.

“So many choices on classes”

We offer classes on your schedule, not ours. We have day, night, weekend, online, hybrid, short course, four-week, eight-week, twelve-week, and sixteen-week classes. NCCC is in session 52 weeks a year. We will find a schedule that fits your needs.

“Low tuition with lots of financial help available”

There is no reason you can’t go to NCCC, no matter what your financial situation. With hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships, the book rental program, several state and federal programs, and low community college rates, there is a way for you to go to college. Many of our Neosho County residents pay absolutely nothing to attend our wonderful college as do those in many of our CTE programs through the Kansas Promise Act.

“A real college feel at a beautiful full campus”

Many students chose NCCC because of the beautiful Chanute campus. Our Chanute site is ten buildings on 40 beautifully maintained acres. The suite-style resident hall is home to over 200 students. In Ottawa, the college has an $8.1 million 52,000 sq ft campus on 27 wooded acres. That campus features state-of-the-art classrooms and labs, a simulated hospital, and a Teaching and Learning Center.

“Plenty of things to do and ways to get engaged”

There is plenty to do on campus, with a full range of sports, clubs, and activities on the Chanute campus and new clubs on the Ottawa campus. We have ten sports teams, dozens of student clubs and countless student events scheduled each week to keep you engaged in a true college atmosphere. We have also built an indoor practice facility.

“Helpful, friendly staff”

It all comes together with great people. Our wonderful staff is here to help you with each step along the way. From admissions, all the way to transfer and certificate completion, at NCCC, we will know your name, and we will give you the best service of any college anywhere.

There are lots of places to explore on this website. My staff and I look forward to talking to you about what your needs are and how NCCC can help meet them.
