Changes announced for Commencement Day 2025
Chanute, Kan. — April 7, 2025

Neosho County Community College (NCCC) will recognize Class of 2025 graduates by celebrating the 2025 Commencement Day on Friday, May 16, inside Panther Gymnasium on the Chanute Campus.
A Healthcare Pinning Ceremony will be held at 4:30 p.m., followed by the 88th Annual Commencement of Neosho County Community College Ceremony at 7 p.m.
The Healthcare Pinning Ceremony will combine the previously separate ceremonies for Allied Health students and Nursing students into a single healthcare-oriented ceremony designed to more widely celebrate students dedicating their future to patient care.
This ceremony will showcase NCCC students who are completing a degree or certificate in a healthcare program, including Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Health Information Technology, Medical Assistant, Medical Coding, Nursing, Phlebotomy, Occupational Therapy Assistant, and Surgical Technology.
The ceremony includes a procession of graduates, followed by a one-by-one recognition of each program with individual pinning and recognition, as well as the recitation of a program-specific oath selected by students.
Later in the evening, the college-wide Commencement Ceremony will celebrate the graduation of all degree-achieving students and Career and Technical Education certificate recipients.
The ceremony will feature the procession of graduates, a musical performance by the NCCC Music Department, and the ceremonial turning of the tassel, as well as remarks from NCCC President Dr. Brian Inbody, student speakers, and the 2025 Distinguished Alumnus.
Students who participate in the Healthcare Pinning Ceremony are also invited to walk during the Commencement Ceremony.
Join us for both events and help us celebrate the achievements of all the students in the NCCC Class of 2025 in-person, or tune in to the livestream on the NCCC YouTube channel.
