PROGRAMS: È Academic Year È Summer Program |
|
Academic Year The academic year component of the UB project begins in late August and continues through May. Academic sessions are scheduled once a month on Saturdays. The sessions are held on the Neosho County Community College campus. The schedule of times, dates, and places varies from year to year. In addition, individualized instruction/tutoring will be scheduled on an individual basis as needed. The summer program is an intensive six-week personal development period in which students live in a residence hall on the Neosho County Community College campus. This component of Upward Bound is designed to simulate a college experience for the participants by providing instruction in academic courses, personal mentoring, exposure to cultural events, and other developmental activities that are not usually available to them. |
