choose careers of interest.

Academic Support
The STARS staff is committed to helping students achieve academic
success. Free tutoring is available in various subject areas by
request. Tutoring is provided by student peer tutors/mentors,
professional tutors/mentors, and by the Reading/English Specialist
and Math Specialist.
Students will have access to our computers in the STARS computer
lab. Each computer is loaded with various software programs
including tutorial software, learning styles assessments, and other
interest inventories. Students also have free access to the
Internet.
Each student will have an Individual Student Plan or ISP completed.
The student will indicate on the ISP the services he or she is
interested in receiving through the STARS Program. Degree checks are
also completed to ensure the courses are equivalent with the
students degree plan.
Each student will be matched with a member of the STARS staff who
will be their "STARS advisor". The STARS advisor will assist the
student with early pre-enrollment, completion of the ISP and serve
as a contact person for the student.
