Chapman Library Mural

Santa Fe Depot, Chanute, Kansas, was built in 1903 and included offices
and a Harvey House Restaurant. The first to use the newly constructed facilities
was a 202-passenger train out of Kansas City that arrived at 1:25 p.m. on Monday,
September 21, 1903. The last passenger train left Chanute on April 30, 1971.

The building now is being used for the Chanute Public Library
and the Martin and Osa Johnson Safari Museum.
