Grant Requirements for Kansas Regional Science and Engineering Fairs (KRSEF)

1. The completed grant application must be submitted at least 6 weeks prior to training scheduled in late October, 2008.
2. A regional fair coordinator must be named and is responsible for submitting the follow up information to the Kansas State Science and Engineering Fair (KSSEF) coordinator by March 25, 2009.
3. The KRSEF Grant recipient must provide a detailed budget report, and a list of judges and their places of employment to the KSSEF coordinator by March 25, 2009.
4. The KRSEF coordinator will be required to attend training via web conference.
5. The regional fair coordinator will be asked to serve on the KSSEF Board of Directors.
6. The regional fairs must offer an invitation to school districts in the counties surrounding it.
7. KSSEF Board of Directors reviews Grant applications. Recipients will be contacted via email pending the review.

KRSEF Grant Benefits

1. The regional science fair grants are available to 9 strategically located regional fairs covering the state of Kansas in the amount of $2000 each.
2. The KSSEF will be offering tech support and requiring training via satellite for hosting a regional fair. That contact will be provide to regional fairs.
3. Regional Science Fair funding will help us reach as many students in Kansas as is possible.
