Grant Requirements for Kansas Regional Science and Engineering Fairs (KRSEF)

The completed
grant application must be submitted at least 6 weeks prior to the
scheduled regional fair.

A regional fair
coordinator must be named and is responsible for submitting the follow
up information to the Kansas State Science and Engineering Fair (KSSEF)
coordinator by March 8, 2010.

The KRSEF Grant
recipient must provide a detailed budget report, and a list of judges
and their places of employment to the KSSEF coordinator by March 8,
2010.

All KRSEF Grant
funds must be used to provide prizes for students or set up requirements
for the fair. Funds may not be
used for stipends or salaries.

The regional
fair coordinator will be asked to serve on the KSSEF Board of Directors.

The regional
fairs must offer an invitation to the counties surrounding it.

KSSEF Board of
Directors reviews Grant applications.
Recipients will be contacted via email pending the review.

Regional fairs
must advertise.

Regional fairs
must submit a list of eligible participants to KSSEF by March 8, 2010.
KRSEF Grant Benefits

The regional
science fair grants are available to 8 strategically located regional
fairs covering the state of Kansas in the amount of $1000 each.

Regional
Science Fair funding will help us reach as many students in Kansas as is
possible.

Participation
by students in a regional fair gives them the opportunity to improve
their projects and enter a higher-level fair.
This process is an important part of problem solving and life.
Please send the following
items: 1) this questionnaire, 2) a complete list of students,
categories, and divisions, 3) a spreadsheet with budget information, 4)
a list of the judges and their places of employment to Nicci Wiltsi at
NCCC, 800 W. 14th Street, Chanute, KS 66720, or fax to
620-431-0082 no later than March 8th.
Your future funding is dependent on submission of all required
forms.

Each student must submit an entry form as per the
instructions on the KSSEF web site.
The list from the regional coordinator is NOT an automatic entry.
