Ann Neff |
Hi! I have worked with the international program at NCCC for
over five years. I enjoy traveling myself and have had the
opportunity to visit over twenty two countries throughout the
world. Following graduation from university, I spent two years
in the United States Peace Corps and in 1980, I was one of six
women in the United States to receive an African/American
Educator's fellowship from the American Association of
University Women. I was able to visit and learn about the
educational system, people, and culture of Sierra Leone, West
Africa, and shared information both here at home and with other
African administrators that had also been chosen for the
program. I love my job--especially working with each
international student to service their individual needs. |
Since my move to Chanute, I have participated as a volunteer in many community
organizations. I also encourage all NCCC international students to become
involved in the Chanute community. It is a way to connect with the local people,
teaching about your culture while you are learning about our culture.
My hobbies include reading, music, cooking, and many of the needle arts
(embroidery, cross stitch, needlepoint, knitting, quilting), spinning and
weaving.
I enjoy people of all ages and stages and participatory discussions on any
topic. I can always learn something new. Ask any current NCCC international
student, one of my favorite things is getting to know you and more about each of
your countries with the personal goal of coming to see your country some day.
