Student
Loan Application Process
Welcome to the Neosho County Community College Student Loan Application page.
Follow the instructions and links below to apply for student loans at Neosho
County Community College. The process may be different at other institutions.
Students may choose the lender of their choice. Lender fees and timing of
processes and disbursements may vary. For information on approved lenders you
can print a
2007-2008
Neosho Student Stafford List
or
2007-2008 Neosho
Parent PLUS List.
How
To Apply:
Students who borrow from the Federal Family Education Loan Program must initiate
the following two steps. This includes Stafford Loans (both subsidized and
unsubsidized) and Parent PLUS Loans. You can print a loan process information
sheet here.
Please review the new loan policy below on this page.
Step 1.
Complete Online Loan Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note (MPN)
These are performed
electronically and NCCC will receive confirmation that you have successfully
completed the process.
Remember your user ID and password, as you will use these throughout your
academic career.
You create your own user ID and password and the Office of Financial Aid has no
knowledge or record of them. If you have problems logging in to OpenNet or need
to retrieve your user ID or password, call 1-888-272-5543 and select option 2.
You must complete entrance counseling to enter the site to establish your
promissory note.
If you
complete entrance counseling and do not complete your promissory note, you will
need to redo the entrance counseling.
(This will give you the
opportunity to become even more acquainted with the loan programs.)
Important Note: At
the end of your entrance counseling test page results, click on
"Return to
Complete My Stafford Loan".
This will take you to the promissory note site.

and to set up your

Step 2.
Complete Student Loan Worksheet or Parent PLUS Loan Worksheet.
Click on Student Forms to download your worksheet.
Complete the worksheet, and forward it to the NCCC Office of Financial Aid. You
can mail it to the Chanute Campus Office of Financial Aid, Neosho County
Community College 800 West 14th Street, Chanute, Kansas, 66720, fax it to (620)
431-0082, or drop it off at either the Chanute or Ottawa campus. |
