This process may be different at other institutions.
Student
Loan Application Process
Students may choose the lender of their choice. If you do not wish to use an
recommended lender please contact our office for assistance for in completing your loan application process.
How
To Apply:
Students who borrow from the Federal Family Education Loan Program must initiate
the following two steps. This includes Stafford Loans (both subsidized and
unsubsidized). You can print a loan process information
sheet here.
Step 1.
Complete Online Loan Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note (MPN)
The user id and password are chosen by you.
These are performed
electronically and NCCC will receive confirmation that you have successfully
completed the process.
Important Note:
Once you have completed entrance counseling you will see a important message
(located at the bottom on the counseling complete page)
giving information about completing your master promissory note.

If you have forgotten your user ID and/or password, you can use the
"Forgot User ID?" and "Forgot Password?" functions. If you cannot
retrieve the information, you may call customer support at
1-866-848-9315. For your information security, the Office of Student
Financial Aid does not have a record of your user ID or password for this
program.
Step 2.
Complete Student Loan Worksheet.
Click on Student Forms to download your worksheet.
Complete the worksheet, and forward it to the NCCC Office of Financial Aid. You
can mail it to the Chanute Campus Office of Financial Aid, Neosho County
Community College 800 West 14th Street, Chanute, Kansas, 66720, fax it to (620)
431-0082, or drop it off at either the Chanute or Ottawa campus.

These are performed
electronically and NCCC will receive confirmation that you have successfully
completed the process. You create your own user ID and password and the Office
of Financial Aid has no record of them.

These lenders are chosen based on research conducted by our office, for their
annual benefits, customer service, and reputation.

Note: While
Bank of America is still a recommended lender for the 2009-2010 school year,
they have notified our office they will not be issuing any new PLUS loans for
the 2009-2010 school year.
Step 2. Parent PLUS Loan Worksheet.
