Health Occupations
Neosho County Community College offers multiple training paths for individuals interested in entering the healthcare field. Choose the program that is right for you; our patient care track offers courses and programs designed to offer training in direct patient care and our non-patient care track provides the training needed if you prefer a behind-the-scenes healthcare occupation.

Allied Health
Entry level healthcare training. Get the training you need to gain employment immediately; Certified Nurse Aide, Medication Aide, Emergency Medical Technician courses available. CPR certification is available for lay people and Basic Life Support is available for healthcare professionals. CMA Update continuing education is also available. Several classes are offered online.

Health Information Technology
Are you looking for one of the most in demand careers in the nation? Our 2 year associate degree in Health Information Technology may be just what you’re looking for. Online courses are available for non-traditional students who are interested in maintaining their present employment while advancing their education.

Medical Assistant
Earn your certificate in one year. You’ll learn front and back office procedures while completing an externship in a local facility. Online classes are available with live lab required.

Medical Transcription
This certificate program will prepare you for entry-level employment as a medical transcriptionist. Learn the basic knowledge and skills required to transcribe medical dictation with accuracy and clarity, meet timelines, and apply the principals of professional and ethical conduct.

Business & Industry Training
Neosho County Community College offers customized training programs that offer convenient on-site training, classes customized to meet your company’s individual needs, quality training at affordable prices, programs available in business and technology and guaranteed results.

Industrial Trades
Vocational training is available in welding, plumbing, electrical, blueprint reading, and cabinet making. Industrial careers are in constant demand. Get the education you need to get the entry-level industrial job you’ve been looking for. Or prepare to move on to

Adult Basic Education and GED Training

Lifetime Learning
Senior citizens are one of our most valuable assets. Neosho County Community College encourages students to learn throughout their lifetime, that’s why the Outreach and Workforce Development department offers classes specifically geared towards our senior population. The Lifetime Learning department sponsors the NCCC volunteer ambassadors and offers classes from basic computer to senior fitness. Plus, tuition requirements are waived for Neosho County residents 62 years old or older.

Concurrent Education
Neosho County Community College provides college education to high school students through its concurrent education offerings. High school students at outreach locations can take advantage of our Fast Track and Jump Start programs.

The principal goal of outreach and workforce development is to provide opportunities whereby the patrons of the college service area may enrich their lives through educational experience. Classes are designed to meet the needs of local citizens, business and industry, other community institutions, organizations and groups.
