Nursing
Practical Nurse to Associate Degree Nurse Articulation Plan

Eligibility for Articulation:
 
bullet Must meet program admission requirements.
bullet Must pass medication calculation proficiency examination. The exam may be given a total of three times and the student MUST pass with a 95% score or greater by the third attempt.
bullet Must be a graduate of a PN program and hold a current LPN license.
bullet Must have completed with a "C" or better all the Level I general education courses within the time limits set by NCCC.
bullet Must successfully complete with a "C" or better the Introduction to Associate Degree Nursing [Bridge) course at NCCC. (This course is offered in the summer only.)
bullet May transfer in/be awarded credit equivalent to our Level I nursing hours (26) after successfully completing one semester of Level II nursing at NCCC.
 

* Must pass per the Level II recommended Cut Scores, provided by the testing service, in order to progress on to the next nursing course.  If this score is not achieved on the first attempt, the exam may be retaken one time.  The second attempt must be within one week of the first or before the beginning of the next nursing course, whichever comes first.

Upon completion of the Bridge course the student must enter Level II of the nursing program within two years. Students not successfully completing the Bridge course may be considered for readmission one time only.
