Each student shall wear a name pin stating he/she is an NCCC nursing student while in the clinical area. White, full-length hose are to be worn by the nursing student with a skirt uniform and either white full-length hose or plain white socks with pants. Uniforms are worn for clinical assignment in cooperating agencies or by request of the instructor.

The navy scrub tops and name pins are ordered by the school with payment due at the time of enrollment. The student shall be responsible for securing the remainder of their uniform.

In assigned specialty areas (OB, OR, ICU, mental health), the student may be required to purchase their own scrub uniforms and/or lab jackets.

A white lab coat may be worn over the student uniform in the clinical area. A lab coat with name pin or uniform must be worn in the clinical agency when the student visits departments or picks up client assignments outside regularly scheduled clinical time.

Makeup should be applied tastefully. The student's hair is to be kept clean, controlled and professional in appearance. Unadorned hair clips or hair combs may be used to secure hair firmly in place. Short, well-groomed fingernails, without polish, are required during clinical times.
