Mary Grimes School of Nursing

The initial approval of the PN nursing program was granted in May of 1963. The first PN students started June 24, 1963. The Bi-Level (Practical Nursing - Associate Degree) Nursing Program was presented for approval to the Kansas State Board of Nursing on December 3, 1981, and was granted full approval on March 4, 1982, thus changing the name of the program to Neosho County Community College, Bi-Level Nursing Program. The first ADN students started August 18, 1982.

The Chanute Campus admits students for the Fall semester.

The Ottawa Campus admits students for the Spring semester.

The Independence, KS Campus admits students for the Fall semester.  This is LPN-level only; however, students will be able to articulate into the Chanute campus or Hybrid program.

The Hybrid Program admits students for the Fall and Spring semesters.  This is the 2nd level only (RN) of the nursing program.
