Humanities offerings at Neosho County Community College are designed to familiarize students with crucial facets of the human condition and enrich understanding of the events, ideas, and art which have inspired and influenced humanity. As illustrated by the diagram, the Humanities encompass a wide range of topics. Classes are designed to integrate these topics with an interdisciplinary approach in order to examine the complex interactions among various human endeavors. The Western Civilization Program examines the various aspects of the Humanities by reading and discussion of the “great books.”
