Alumni Game Set For April 10th

If you are interested in attending the Alumni Game on April 10th, please shoot us an email and letting us know. The time is still to be announced later this month. The game will be against current student- athletes at NCCC. Also, will be played seven a side.  Hope to see you there!

Two Lady Panther Receive KJCCC All- Academic Team

The Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference has announced that seven Seward County Community College volleyball student-athletes have been named to the KJCCC All-Academic Team for the fall of 2009. The following volleyball student-athletes have been recognized for their outstanding work in the classroom while participating in athletics:

Sade' Boswell- Waynesville, MO  (Two- Time)

Jessica Ramsey - Skiatook, OK

To earn KJCCC All-Academic recognition student-athletes must earn a minimum 3.5 grade-point average during their respective sports’ season.

Neosho County Community College Women's Soccer Ends Season at Johnson County

Neosho Women’s Soccer season comes to an end in Overland Park. The final score 0-4 to the 4th seeded Johnson County.  The lady panthers were the 5th seed in the region for the second straight year.  The last time the two played was September 30 at Chanute Sports Complex and the contest ended in a 0-1 lost for the panthers. Solomon says “These ladies had high exceptation coming in this game about a week ago, after beating Cowley to seal the fifth place spot in the region."  "I am proud of these ladies and how they play this past week and couldn't ask for a better group of players this year!' says Solomon.  Great group of Sophomores: Kayla Bell, Colby Ezell, Stephanie Wilson, Amber Fisher, Sade' Boswell and Kelsie Maxwell!

Lady Panther travel down to Cowley

The Women's Soccer team will play Cowley Monday at 5pm in Arkansas City, Kansas.  The contest will determine who will be 5th place in the KJCCC.  The lady panthers finished 5th last year with a 7-4 in Region VI. The ladies are one win away from tying last year record of 7 wins in the region. "We are trying to match the same as last year or even better." says Coach Solomon.

Neosho Women’s Soccer Freshman Forward Justine Young had 3 Goals and 2 Assists to lead victories over Dodge City and Cloud County this past week!  Justine has 8 Goals and 6 Assists this season.

Neosho Women's Soccer are 8 and 7

The Neosho County Community College Women's Soccer team after a win against Independence on October 14,2009. The final was 10-0 at Independence Rec. Fields.   Justine Young had 3 goals and Mallorie Adams had a pair of goals and an assists. That improves the ladies to 8-7 overall and 5-4 in the region.  The next contest for the ladies is Saturday October 17, 2009 against Garden City at 12pm. This will be the last home game for the sophomores. What a great group of student-athletes!

The Lady Panthers play T-Birds at Home 

The Women's Soccer team will play Cloud County Community College October 10, 2009 at 2pm. "The ladies have played wonderful the last three games" Coach Solomon Said. The girls played well against Johnson with a 1-0 lost but had chances to score. Also, the ladies come in with  a game plan against Allen. "The ladies did a great job on staying on track against Allen." Solomon Said  This week the ladies played Dodge City this week in 40 mph winds and rain.  "The ladies did excellent job at Dodge City, even  with the condition the ladies played in." said Solomon  The ladies are 6-7 overall and 3-4 in the region.

The Neosho Women's Soccer Team Plays Allen for a Non-Region Game

The Lady Panthers will travel to Iola Sunday on October 4, 2009 to play Allen for the second time this season.   The ladies lost last time but out shot the Red Devils 20 to 3.  The Red Devils are 4-4 in the region and 4 and 6 overall. The Panthers played Johnson County last Wednesday (September 30) and lost a close one to the Cavaliers 1 to 0. The Panthers are 2 and 4 in the region and 4 and 7 overall.

Lady Panthers will face Barton

The Neosho County Community College Women's Soccer team will travel to  Barton this Friday (September 25) at Great Bend High School for a 6 pm contest.  The Barton County Community College are 7 -2 overall and 4-0 in Region VI. The lady panthers are 4-5 overall and 2-2 in the region.  " The ladies have been playing well and working hard everyday at practice." Solomon said. "Just trying to find the right to time to peak in the region and move forward in to the playoffs." 

Neosho  Women's Soccer is set to rival with Allen Community College

The Women's Soccer team is set to play rival Allen this Sunday (Sept. 20) at 5:00pm. This will be the ladies third home game this season.  The ladies are lead on the offensive side by Kayla Bell and Mallorie Adams. On the Defensive side is captain and All- Conference Sade' Boswell.  The Neosho Women's Soccer is 4 - 3 overall and 2 - 1 in the region.

Neosho Women Soccer win at Hesston

The Lady Panthers won their second Region VI game this year and our 4-2 overall and 2-1 in the Region.  Kayla Bell and Mallorie Adams had a pair of goals. While Cheree McClung and Justine Young had one goal each in the contest. The next match for the ladies is  Maplewoods at 11am September 16, 2009.

Lady Panthers win first Region Game

The Neosho County Community College Women's Soccer team won their first region game against Coffeyville Community College this past Tuesday. The ladies coming by from a double header in St. Louis, Mo, with one day of rest before taking Coffeyville. Mallorie Adams led the ladies with two goals. The other two goals come from Kayla Bell on a half volley and Kassie Stanford on a corner kick.  Anchoring the defense was Sade' Boswell, Amber Fisher and Jessica Ramsey.  The next game is at NEO A&M in Miami, Oklahoma at 1pm Saturday September 5, 2009.

Three Former Players Move on to Four Year School

Three former Lady Panthers have moved on to play at a four year school.  Sarah Kirkwood is at Doane College in Crete, Nebraska and Meghan Orr is at William Woods in Fulton, Mo. Both Players were All-Conference players this past fall. Also, Jessica Brixey is at Culver Stockton in Canton, Missouri. Brixey was a starter on the 2007 team. 

Lady Panthers leave for St. Louis

The Lady Panthers will be staying at the Ramada Inn during the St. Louis trip. The address is 130 Salt Lick Rd, St. Peters, MO 63376.

  • First Game against Forest Park at 7pm on Friday August 28th

  • Second Game against St. Charles 4pm on Saturday August 29th

Players report Aug. 7th at 12:00pm

The Neosho County Community College Women's Soccer team will report August 7th at 12:30pm for preseason. Physicals will start at 12:00pm and end at 1:30. Following with moving at 2pm to 5pm and a team meeting at 7pm. The First Day of Practice will be August 8th at 8 am. 

Kayla Bell playing WPSL

Kayla Bell is playing with the Tulsa Spirit in the WPSL (Women Premier Soccer League) http://www.wpsl.info/spirit/. The Spirit is consist of Dury, University of Tulsa, Oral Roberts, Roger State and former college players.  The team plays in the  Big Sky South conference and those teams consist of Houston, Dallas, Oklahoma City, Fort Worth and Alamo.  Kayla will be a sophomore this upcoming season for the ladies panthers.

Melanie Piedra- NJCAA Academic All American

Neosho County Community College sophomore Melanie Piedra was named NJCAA Academic All-America. 

Piedra carried a 3.81 GPA while studying Radiology.  The centermid leaves Neosho to purse a degree at The University of Fort Smith Arkansas next fall.

The criteria for this award is to have completed 3 full time semester and participate in at least one season here in athletics. The distinguished academic award is for 3.8 GPA or better and the academic All American award is for a 3.6 GPA or better

1)     The 2009 Schedule

The Lady Panthers released the 2009 schedule. The ladies first match will be in St. Louis against Forest Park on August 28th at 7pm and the following day they will take on St. Charles at 4pm.
