Dominique Taylor enters his first season as assistant coach with the Neosho County Community College men’s basketball program. Taylor comes to the Panther program after a successful collegiate career, first at Division I, Southland Conference member Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi where he helped lead the Islanders to the first regular season championship, conference tournament championship, and NCAA tournament bid in school history. While a member of the Islanders, Taylor played a vital role in writing the history book, as the Islanders would post 20 or more wins in three consecutive seasons, including school record 26-7 record en route to the programs first ever NCAA Tournament bid in 2007.

Taylor was very active in community service projects while a member of the Islander program. Taylor earned his Bachelor of science degree in Exercise science in 3yrs while a member of the Islander men’s basketball program, then went on to transfer to Division II, Lone Star Conference member Texas A&M University-Commerce, where Taylor would serve as team captain and help lead the Lions to a 17-11 overall mark, and 4-1 win/loss record VS nationally ranked opponents.

Taylor received his Master of Science degree in Sport Studies from Texas A&M University in 2009. Coaching runs in the Taylor family as his father Bobby Taylor, has over 20 yrs of college basketball coaching experience, including one season with Neosho County Community College in Head Coach Jeremy Combs  1st season at the helm. Taylor graduated from Lee High School in Wyoming, MI in 2004.
