Mike Saddler is in his first year as an assistant coach for the Panthers. Saddler will serve as the pitching coach for Neosho.

Saddler comes to Neosho after two years at Fort Hays State University. Previous to that, Mike coached at Baker University, where he served as an assistant coach from 2004-2007. While at Baker, he worked with the infielders and catchers during the 2005 season as well as serving as the third base coach. From 2006-2007, he served as the pitching coach in addition to coaching first base.

In addition to coaching at Baker, he served as the pitching coach for the Rochester Honkers of the Northwoods League from 2005-2007. While in Rochester, he helped guide the Honkers to numerous league records including wins in a season (50) and winning percentage (.746) on their way to a league title in 2006. Honker pitchers also set a number of team and league records under Saddler's guidance, including a record for team earned run average at 2.31. Before he began coaching, Saddler played baseball at the University of Kansas in 2004 and Montclair State University in New Jersey in 2003. He also played at Colby Community College from 2001-2002, where he earned Academic All-American honors in 2002. A native of Colby, Kan., Saddler earned a bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from the University of Kansas in 2006. He has a master’s degree in Sports Administration from Fort Hays State University. Saddler is married to the former Sara Nally of Colby, Kan.
