Coach, How are things in SEK? Alot of stuff going on in
Florida on my end. Although I have been preaching the importance of the
alumni game, there was no way I could make it down. In addition to the fact
that I was in the middle of getting a brand new office built, I was also in
the middle of a divorce. Not to make excuses, but I just had too much stuff
on my plate. However, things are looking up. I have already met someone
new, and the business is up and running! Both seem to be way better than I
had it before, so I got that going for me WHICH IS NICE!!!!!!! Anyway, I
hope you guys have a successful season and if you are coming back down this
way for spring break, I will catch a game again. Here a couple of pics.

Coach, _________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 9-26-07 Andy Rebar - Thought that I would finally send you something since you got on to me when I was down there. Amber and I have a nice house out in cake-eater-ville, Gardner, and we like it a lot. It is nice and quiet. No kids as of yet, but hopefully not too far off in the future. Right now I am putting my college degree to use by trimming trees; not sure what exactly I want to do right now. We do have one addition to our family, a Boston Terrier named Mugsy, which is almost like having a kid. I had a good time at the alumni day even though it was cold, rainy, and we didn't get to play. It was good to see you again. Good luck this season, and I plan on catching
some games this spring. Later Coach. ____________________________________________________________________________________________ 9-18-07 Matt Wilson - Hey coach, this is good ole Matty. I have moved back to the great north, twins and vikings country. I moved back towards the end of July. I am currently working in the special education division of my old high school and coaching football. Long story short, I have a girlfriend, started slowly moving in with her, kinda scary but fun at the same time. Playing recreation softball, have been for a few years now. To all you alumni, contact info is (612) 718-2424 and my email is Chillpep2401@hotmail.com, and i have a work one but not sure what it is. Love to hear from everyone and coach, I don't think it needs to be said, you made a tougher person out of me. helped and taught me a lot of things. I am very thankful for that. Tell the family I said hi and I will for sure try and stop by when I stop back in Pittsburg. take care and good luck to everyone.
9-4-07 Pat Driscoll - Coach I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know that I will not be able to attend the alumni weekend. I wish I could be there, I have been looking forward to it since the last one. I am working that Sat. and we also have the new one. Her name is Reese Isabelle and she is already 10 weeks. She has been a great baby sleeping at night, the only thing is my golf game has gone from 5 times a week to once every 2 weeks. But I wouldn't have it any other way. Have a great fall season and I will keep in touch. The house is great and so is the golf! I finally got my official offer from Iowa State and am negotiating to start in January, or until we can find suitable daycare. Laura starts at Boone Family Practice on Sept. 1 so we’ll be almost be poor enough to eat out of a dumpster until then. I’m loving spending time with Lily. She’s really an active little girl and I can’t believe she’s 5 months old!!! Here is our new contact info if you feel like dropping a line: Laura Moeller, Matt & Lily

work for a pharmaceutical wholesaler, selling supplies to family owned
independent pharmacies. There used to be a Medicine Shoppe in Chanute when
I was there. I’ve been doing this about 7 years. I’m looking to get into
the hospital side of pharmaceuticals and see where it goes. 3 kids, some
real-estate ownership I lease out, and of all things I’m looking to open a
sports recreation complex in or around my neck of the woods. Other than
that, just staying busy. I asst coach my son’s machine pitch team. 11-0 in
league, but they got hammered pretty hard in the World Series. Fall ball
starts soon and the kids start pitching. We’ll see what happens there.
I’ll have to load them up on the “RED HOT.” I’ll holler at you next time
I’m down and about. Maybe we could hook up. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 7-16-07 Darin Morgan
Coach Murry,
It has been a long time, to long in fact. I hope everything is going well
for you and the family. Thumbs up to Zack, that is awesome. I wish him luck
with the Rockies. I remember when he was a little Panther. I live in
Gillette, Wyoming and own my own electrical business and all is real well. I
have been married now for 10 years and have three beautiful children. Bo,
who will be nine in October and already hitting bombs. He throws right and
hits left. My daughter turned three in May and she is a little daddy's girl
and I love it. Jay, he will be two is August and he is going to be a little
stud as well. My wife Jackie is a wonderful lady and she sure keeps me in
line. It is funny how life has its way of taking one for a journey. I
thought baseball was what I was going to be and now I am a business owner.
It had a rocky start, but a little hard work and some elbow grease gotter
done. The sky is the limit now and I am lovin' it. I catch myself thinking
about the days a Neosho County, and I can honestly say; they were some of
the best memories that I have. Once a Panther, always a Panther.

"The best in the business". That's how I describe you (and
your program) whenever I tell people about the glory days of NC. Still some of
the best years of my life which I'll never forget! After NC, I went on to
finish my baseball career at Belmont University in Nashville, TN and graduated
in 2000. Not yet wanting to go out in the real world and get a job, I moved
down to Memphis, TN to go to law school. After three LONG years of law school,
I graduated in 2003 and worked in a law firm until this past December doing
mostly securities related work. Now, I'm an in-house lawyer in Memphis with a
German based company called Lurgi, Inc. We're an engineering and construction
company that builds ethanol, biodiesel, hydrogen, methanol and other plants
around the world. It's a great gig and my life has changed much to the better
since coming on board this past January. On the personal side, I got married
last September to a one-of-a-kind Memphis native named Lisa. No kids yet
(although the issue is being raised) but times are good in the Smith household.

Hey coach, how's everything going for you and the family. Well for me its
great. After playing at Neosho I went to Cameron Univ. in Lawton Ok. After a
year I came back home and went to school at Emporia State. After a couple years
at Emporia I got offered a job working for Budweiser in Osage City Kansas. I
have been there for about 4 years and love it. During this time my wife and I
had a little boy named Hunter. He was born April 9 2006 in emporia. Other that
that I've been working and being a dad (yeah its crazy huh). I wouldn't trade
it for nothing. Damn, little Z is in the big leagues. That's bad ass. He
deserves this and much more. Im proud of him. Tell everyone hi for me and take
care. Well gotta go so keep in touch. Thanks coach for giving me the
chance of a life time to play for you. You taught me more than just baseball
but about life. Thanks for everything and keep kickin ass. Man it’s been a long time! Things have changed so much in the last 12 years. I am married to a physician (not Shannon thank God) who is from Iowa and is the bomb. I have a 3 month old daughter named Lily that looks exactly like me except for the stormtrooper head. Whenever my little girl or I have a hemorrhoid issue we have my wife to help fix it without getting poop on our fingers. After 3 unbelievably life changing years at NCCC, I tucked my tail between my legs and decided to give up baseball because of my back issues. After baseball, I became a big dork, hit the books hard, and received a Ph.D. in nutrition at Iowa State in 2004. I currently work as a research nerd at Notre Dame in South Bend. Even though I work there I still hate Notre Dame football with a passion and will always be the biggest husker fan you will ever meet. I will join the faculty at Iowa State next year where I’ll teach and run my own lab. Dude that is scary isn’t it? I think about my time at NCCC every day because of the way you made us all so mentally tough and how I have used that in my everyday life. I also think about the time you made Chris Johnson, who was riding in the “water wagon” while we traveled across the state hold is hershey squirts in and how you made me drive the van because we would laugh so hard together. I’ve kept my sense of humor and still love Beavis and Butthead. This page is an awesome idea and I wish all of us could have some sort of reunion. Keep up the good work and I hope Zack’s pro career will be outstanding. Matt Rowling
5-21-07 Justin Rehmert (95-97)- Hey coach, great idea. It is good to hear that things are going well for you
and your family. This site will be very helpful in helping me find some long
lost friends, that is if they claim me. After the stint at Neosho I went to
Pittsburg State University, which turned out to be a very successful couple of
years. I am currently working in Memphis, TN. I am a groundskeeper for Bellevue
Baptist Church, one of the largest churches in the U.S. with 29,000 members. I
currently am over 10 baseball fields and 5 soccer fields. I am in no way close
to marriage and have no kids, but myself. I am still very competitive, playing
softball religiously every weekend and league during the week. Congrats on your
600th. looks like Zach is starting a career, best wishes for him in the pro's. justinremi@hotmail.com --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5-14-07 Ryan Maher - Well to start, I have been married for almost 3 years now and am living in Wichita, KS. We lived in KC for 2 years but Janae got transferred down to the Wichita campus. My wife Janae is in her last year of Med-School and I am teaching 2nd grade in Mulvane, KS. I am coaching middle school football and track. I do not have any kids yet. Other than that, I hope all is well with everyone. Ryan Maher 4-23-07 Aaron Longenecker -
Just happened to be looking for the schedule and see Theron and Hot Rod on
this alumni page. I thought I had better write something so that your
current and more recent teams could understand how monumentally historical
your FIRST team was in its lack of success as well as your certified mental
instability in those initial years. Shaving our heads (the mullet was "in"
then, you know), 1 AM practices after losses, candles, practice with no
gloves, the runs back to the city park field from Thayer, Stark and all
points in between don't tell half the story. We were always the best
looking team you ever had but we were also the toughest. As for me, 5 years
as a State Trooper with KHP and almost 10 years now as a Secret Service
Agent. Currently I'm a supervisor in the San Francisco Field Office.
Hoping to someday get back home so I can keep a closer eye on you! Quick
shout out to Coop, Manbeck, Mark, Hot Rod, Nepote (still a complete waste of
talent!), Billy Bush, Aplin, Wicher and everybody else I'm forgetting! Good
job outta u Coach

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 3-9-07 Mike Krise - This page is awesome!! It is great to go down through the postings and see what everyone is up to.(I have that picture of Boogie with the baseball in his mouth somewhere...LOL) I have been able to keep in touch with a few of the guys through the years, so I know for a fact that Pringle probably wrote his "manifesto" after a long night of hanging out in his driveway on a couch with a fire burning!! AS far as myself, I am living in Windermere, FL working as an independent investment advisor. It has been 6 1/2 yrs that I have lived in "paradise" and don't plan on leaving. I am married to Laurel since June 10, 2006, no kids yet. Life is good, have no complaints. I will get sappy for just a second by saying that you do a great job of molding boys into men in that two years you have them. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't look back on fond memories and reflect on life lessons that were learned in Chanute, KS (of all places!!!) I will forever be in your debt. Continued success and happiness. See you next week! My mom had informed me on your success and I'm very proud of you and happy for the Panthers. I can't believe all of the names on the alumni list. What a great bunch of memories. I can't believe Boogie doesn’t have a picture of him with a baseball in his mouth and his lips totally closed. (WOW)…. Me on the other hand, I'm living in Newark Delaware and teaching health and pe to freshman. Coaching basketball and baseball. I have been married for 9 years and have two kids, Brett Easton(6), and Brooke Ella(3). Man, they are the best thing in the whole world. We just moved from Nothern Virginia about 2 years ago. It has been tough getting familiar with everything, but we have really depended on each other and it has made us stronger as a family. Take care everyone, it was awesome going down the list an seeing how we are all doing. Coach Murry good luck this season, and take care! Thought I should send this to you before you give me crap for not doing this
when I see you tomorrow. I played on the 2003 and 2004 teams. I was
probably the best DR ever at Neosho! I never got yelled at! haha, I’m
just finishing up school at Wichita State right now and working at Best
Buy. Should graduate this next December with a history degree. After I
graduate I'd like to find a coaching job at a college. The past 4 summers
I've been coaching a summer team in Coffeyville and having a blast. Love
coaching the bunch I have right now. Guess I've been dating a girl for over
a year now named Nedra Bradshaw. She's from St. Paul, never thought I'd end
up dating a girl from Neosho County. We're getting pretty serious, we
have a dog that’s a chow/lab mix (Izzy). Hope you guys have a great year
and I expect big things with this team. Thanks for everything Coach Murry,
I feel like a learned a lot from baseball to life. Anyone wants to get in
touch with me my number is 620-252-0366 and my email is
vondeuce2@hotmail.com. Tell the family hi for me.
____________________________________________________________________________________________ 2-27-07 Therron Brockish (87-88)- I played on Coach Murry’s first team and I can vouch for how far the program has come in 20 years! We didn’t even have a field on campus. We had to go to some city park with a dirt infield and watch candles at 1:00 AM (saw that entry Rowdy Rod Howell). Any stories that previous players have about Coach Murry, I’m pretty sure the players on his first two teams could top them (I’m betting we were the only team that got dropped off in Thayer the first day of fall practice and told “whoever makes it back can still be on the team”)! After NCCC, I played two years at Wayne State (Neb.) and then coached college baseball for 11 years (the last seven as the head coach at Iowa Western). I had the opportunity to play against Coach Murry several times while I was at Iowa Western and it was special for me every time we played. I am currently a full-time professional scout for the Philadelphia Phillies and live in Phoenix, AZ. I have one former player in the Majors, two on the verge (AAA) and hopefully some on the way (the players that I drafted and signed). I have many great memories of NCCC. I hope that some of my former teammates will see this and get in touch with me to catch up. Good luck this year Panthers and I hope to see you in Grand Junction, CO as I am usually there covering the JUCO World Series. tbrockish@phillies.com (215) 435-2960 Therron – Kelly – Alex - Lauren _________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 2-26-07 Zach Harris - Zach has a baby boy. Zach's last post was 12-22-06. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 2-21-07 Royce Wichers - It has been awhile since I have talked to anybody from Neosho County. I just happened to get on the website and looked at the Alumni happenings and seen some names I haven't heard in a while. Man I would of never guessed that Pat Lassek would ever have learned to e-mail. Its good to see that everything is going good for you at NCCC. Congratulations on your success throughout the years. I think when I attended you had just won your 100 game, so it appears you are doing a great job. I believe Zack was just a little guy, but it appears he grew into a heck of a baseball player, and I am sure he is a great person as well. As for myself I lived in Hays for the last 11 years working for SBC. Recently I moved to the big town of Lincoln, Kansas (not Nebraska) to work with my longtime buddy on a High School Football magazine. We cover over 200 High Schools from the state of Kansas, basically from Manhattan north and south to the Colorado border. We are also covering every college in Kansas. Not just KU and K-State but all the junior colleges, KCAC schools, as well as the Div. II schools such as Fort Hays. It is alot of work but it is fun talking with all the people who are involved with our publication. Eventually we will be doing the whole state of Kansas as well as getting into all the different sports. Well just wanted to drop a line after I seen your e-mail address. I will keep in touch with you Coach. Please tell your family I said hi.

I live up in St. Paul, Minnesota. I work out of West St. Paul selling
architectural plywood. We sell to millwork shops across the country and our
stuff shows up mainly in hotels, casinos and high end department stores. I
recently bought a house up here and am thoroughly enjoying it. I have been
dating a girl up here for about two years and we are getting along well. I
am still involved with baseball, giving pitching lessons a couple of days a
week. Minnesota is a great area, I love getting out and going fishing, duck
hunting, water skiing and hanging out on the water. I have welcomed a new
addition to my life, a black lab puppy. She is an absolute riot. I look
forward to hearing from everyone. Thanks again for all your help on and off

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 2-14-07 Pat Meagher - Great idea, and as always great website. I know Ben deserves some credit as well I assume. I follow all the progress on the web weekly during the season and miss the days on the field. I am doing really good. I am living with my girlfriend Brenda who is from outside Kearney Nebraska! Can you believe that, after all the years putting up with all the GO BIG RED in the Hallways and on the field I end up with a one of you Bug Eaters, but she is great and we visit her parents often. I work for Enterprise Fleet and Car Sales in Kansas City. I basically sell all the cars in bulk off at the Car Auction and to various Dealers trying to get rid of them so I can we can buy another 25,000 of them at the end of the year and do it all over again. Any calls or emails from any of the old guys would be great. I am always on my cell like the D-bags I used to make fun of all the time. It’s great to see the program doing so well, it really makes me proud to know I was a part of something so great, make sure you let all the current players know how lucky they are to be a part of it, and before they know it they will be sitting in an office wishing they were back out on the field. I will make it down to old Chanute sooner or later, save a spot for me at the Sting. Does Shorty still charge 50 cents for a cold MUG, and is Vino still there with the Agg bros on Tuesday for Pool and Burritos??? I will catch up with you at a game in KC….Take Care,
Patrick.P.Meagher@erac.com ____________________________________________________________________________________________ 2-5-07 Rod Howell - What's up Coach M. You've did great things with the program at NCCC and attractive good athletes as well. (Unlike some of the "rebels" you had your first year in '86-87.) It is unbelievable that it has been almost 20 years since I played at NCCC, but the experience still has a profound impact on my life. (Well all expect for maybe the late night candle light experience, but still makes for a good story.) I'm currently a Sergeant for a police department in Oklahoma, happily married and have two wonderful boys Zack(13) and Aaron (8). I believe that without the opportunity and the second chance you gave me I would not have had some of the success I have enjoyed over the years and for that I thank you. (By the way J.C. what the hell happened to your hair, age I guess, good to hear you are doing so well.) Well good luck this year Coach M and I will be following Panther baseball this year. Not sure where to start , but I transferred to Jackson, TN in 2000 where
I played ball at Union University. I graduated in 2002 and
worked as a groundskeeper for the Chicago Cubs AA team. I
moved from there and then took on a sports complex with 10 ballfields and 5
soccer fields, but finally figured out that I couldn't work for anybody else
any more. Now I work on forclosed homes in west TN and just took over the
northeast corner of AR. Basically, I am kind of like "flip that house"
or "home makeover". I am currently not married and I have no kids.

After NC, I went to Murray State University where I
finished playing and also met my wife (Mallory). We have been happily
married since 1996 and she is the best coach's wife around. I stayed
at MSU (94-97)to get my master's degree and started my coaching career
as well. We then moved to Nashville, TN and I coached at Belmont
Univeristy (97-01). I have been able to coach quite a few former
Panthers while at the Division I level (Sorry to the guys who were at
Murray when we went to Belmont). I became the head coach at Rend Lake
College in 2001 (JC in Southern IL). Then we moved to Fort Scott, KS and
I become the head coach at Fort Scott CC. During those years, we were
blessed with two beautiful little girls, Mia (6 in April 07) and Emma
Grace (2 in May 07). Thank God at least one looks like my wife. The
last 3 years in Fort Scott we have been trying to move up the ranks in
the Jayhawk East. Last year we finally made a move to the top 4 and had
a very good year (35-22). We are trying to make that the norm and
knock off the Cowleys and you know who (yep, Neosho County). It has
been an honor to coach against you ( We did run rule NC the first time
we played, 5-7 overall but who's counting). I have been fortunate to
coach 15 professional players and have one in AAA right now. I also
scout part time for the Colorado Rockies and we hope to get Zack signed
up this May. Thanks to my Dad and you I have had the two best coaching
role models that a young coach could have. Good luck this season. Take
it easy on us and let us at least split. By the way, thanks for stuffing
the ballot box on the coach of the year vote last year. I hope to hear
from some of my teammates from 91-92 and others that I have coached or
tried to recruit.

I often draw from my experience with you to help motivate my player to do their best and achieve all they can be. No candles or late night runs in my plans. The pics you have or of myself and my pride and joy JC II. He is now eight and I now understand the pride you had when Z first joined us at the college. I'll try to find you some player so we can re-establish that Louisiana connection we once had at the college. jcarceneaux678@bellsouth.net _________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 1-25-07 Jeff Lee (99-00) -
Hey coach good idea on the alumni page. After Neosho, I finished up college
at the University of Kansas in 2002. I also got married in 2002 to my
Neosho County girlfriend, Angie Heaton. Angie and I have now been married
nearly 5 years and we just had our first son, Jace Wesley, on November 17th,
2006 and he was a big boy weighing 9lbs 6oz., and was 21 inches long.
Hopefully a future slugger and not a pitcher (HaHa). Angie and I live in
Shawnee, KS and I work as an Engineer for the BNSF Railroad and Angie is a
realtor for Reece and Nichols (referrals welcome) and takes care of Jace and
our four year old Labrador Jett. All is well and can't wait to hear from
other friends.

Coach, great idea with the alumni page. Hope your planning on another
alumni weekend, let me know if you need help. These are pics of our two
kids, Cody and Macee. Cody will be 3 in Feb and Macee will be 2 in
April, yes we have a busy house. I know I've told you several times but
my 2 years in Chanute were my best 2 years, post highschool. Not only
the baseball, but the mentoring and life lessons that you teach while we
are part of your family. It's obvious what kind of program you have
built, none in the midwest compare, probably the "Nation". It sounds
like your family is doing well, you definately had a rough stretch
there! I'll never forget in your health class the "fight or flight"
speech that you gave, you don't know how many times since then, I've
reflected back on that. WE know what kind of a person you are and what
path you chose!
I hung up the badge in March of '06 and took a position w/ State Farm.
A very difficult decision to leave my police family and lifestyle after
8 years, but I have no regrets. It is truly amazing how kids will
change your perspective on life (I remember you telling me that a game
up her at a Johnson County game, how true). I hope to be a State Farm
agent soon.
Always know that NCCC and especially you Coach, are on my mind in my
heart!!

Where to start. My 17
years away from the program have come and gone so quickly. I have been
married for nine years to my wife Kirsten and have five beautiful little
girls Hayley, Madison, Sydney, Calyn & Macy. Believe it or not we have one
more coming. (hoping for a future baseball alum). I graduated from NWU IN
95 and moved to Omaha where I started my career with Ferguson Enterprises as
a management trainee. I have since been hired away by the competition and
currently work for Briggs Inc. of Omaha and have the title of Western
Nebraska Regional Manager. Believe it or not coach I am back in our
hometown of Grand Island. I never thought I would have moved back, but I
couldn't pass up the opportunity. It has been exciting to follow the
success's you have had over the years. You just keep pumping out the
quality baseball player. I will never forget watching the College World
Series and watching one of our own playing in it, Jesse Boyer, what an
accomplishment. You could watch him play the game and know that he has been
coached by Steve Murry. It brang back alot of good memories that I had down
in Chanute. Coach, keep up the good work and hope all is well down south.

I am still here in Emporia, Kansas at ESU getting my masters, I should be done this spring assuming I pass everything. Then after that I am trying to find a coaching job some place. My family is doing well, Mom and Dad actually moved again believe it or not, they are currently in Salt Lake City, and my brother and sister are still in Idaho. During the summers I am in Fayetteville, NC coaching in the Coastal Plain summer league, other than being hotter than hell out there its a blast. I do have a girlfriend right now, and is coming up on a year, I have known her for ever so it is a great fit. I know it has been said before but I just wanted to thank you for everything you have done for me, you have made me a better person and I thank you for that. Hopefully everyone is in good health and I would like to hear from all of the boys, my email address is jeffcammann@hotmail.com and my phone number is (608)-772-6226. Tell the family hello and kick some ass this spring, good luck

It was good to see you and Z the other day. I don’t do much these days besides work, work out, hang out, and eat. Oh yeah and I play a lot of slow pitch softball. I live in Overland Park now and am a Transportation Broker for my uncle’s company in Shawnee. I never thought I would be a JO but aint much to offer in Fontana. I would really like to hear from some of the guys I played with…Tell Kim and Mal I said Hi… 913 645 5988 jc@nationwidetransportation.com _________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 1-22-07 Carvel Reynoldson - Hey Coach, this page is pretty cool. It is still fun to follow Neosho baseball because you guys have been making the alumni proud of your success. I think this is the year for you guys to win it all. The Miege "pipeline" will help you win a ring. I've attached a couple of recent pics of my kids. We have a 3 year old boy(Isaac) and 1 year old girl (Hannah). They take up all of my free time, but are well worth it. If you are not too old by the time Isaac is 18, I'd love to send him that way. email: carvelreynoldson@hotmail.com phone: 913.522.2597 _________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 1-22-07 Luke Pringle -
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. I hope all
is well with you and yours. It surely is a shame that life gets so busy
that people don't take the time to talk to those that have been so
influential in their lives. I don't think I have ever taken the time to
thank you for the opportunity you gave me. Not just the memories but the
attitude, work ethic, and integrity you instilled in each one of us everyday
we had the priviledge of being your student. You mold boys into the men
that they become. Now for my bio.
Great idea with the new website. It is wonderful
to read what everyone is up to these days. Even though I wake up most
mornings feeling like an old man it seems like yesterday the last time I
woke up in the castle scrambling to shave and find the correct color
stirrups for the day's game. It sounds a little cheesy but I do cherish the
memories of my two years at NCCC. I wouldn't trade those memories for
anything. As far as myself and family we are pretty much up to the same
things. I am still fixing people's cars when they crash them up. We
celebrate our 40th year in business next June. I have been married for
almost 11 years now to my lovely wife Erin. We have 3
children--Gracie Lane 8, Lucas Tate 4, and Sophie Belle 2. Thank God they
look like my wife. I got involved in an online travel company last October
and spend much of my spare time getting that rolling. For some reason I
still think I need to get out and play so I spend most of my summers playing
fastpitch softball. I run into some other alumni once in a while at the
ballfields although most of them play coach pitch (slo-pitch). I'm not sure
why I continue to play but I can't seem to ever quench the thirst of
winning. Sometimes I wonder what's wrong with me. I can't even let my kids
beat me at Yahtzee. And if somehow one of them pulls the upset on me I get
mad about it. Anyone else fight this problem? It is great to hear from all
you fellas. If anyone in KC ever wants to get together for I beer I would
love to hear from you.

If I do stay in St. Joe i have tickets for anyone that wants to come to a game, just give me a shout... I am also trying to finish up school, transfering so much really screwed me.. oh well. I have a girlfriend i have had for almost 2 yrs. It's pretty tough, I dont get to see her that much with me playing ball and with her being in dental school.. No kids yet, not ready for them.. Thats pretty much all i have been up to lately... Oh one little cool thing i got to do my first yr in pro ball... I got to pitch against Rickey Henderson.. Wholey sh*t I was nervous, first time i faced i almost drilled him the head with a slider...haha. I eventually walked him but the next time i faced him I ended up breaking his bat.. I was pretty excited about that. Well thats about all I have but I will keep you updated Coach Murry, and I appreciate everything you have done for me Coach and you have been the most influential and best coach I have ever had, I am really honored that I got to play for Neosho and You! Thanks for everything!!! p.s. any alumni that want to contact me my email is joshj_23@yahoo.com, I also have a myspace and facebook account so you can look me up on there. Led the team in errors
by an outfielder my freshman year and made friends with every backstop in
the Jayhawk Conference. I went on to play D-II ball at the University of
Nebraska-Kearney. The RMAC provided lots of hanging curveballs in the
mountain air so thanks to Coach Murry (Not Guy Murray - we were pounding
beers, not baseballs) I was able to pound 22 home runs over my jr. and sr.
year. After graduating I moved around Nebraska a bit and ended up in Omaha
where I received my Master's Degree from UN-Omaha in 2003.
I currently live in
Indianapolis with my girlfriend of almost 4 years. Yes, I know I need to
make a commitment. I am a sales representative for Easton Sports. I
control the distribution and sales of Easton products by private dealers,
colleges, and high schools for Indiana and Southern Illinois (south of the
metro).
If any of you guys
have travel teams or kids that play and want Easton bats, let me know, I'll
see what I can do.

The website continues to get better and better,
and I am sure a ton of your players will be catching up as word spreads
about the alumni page. I am living in Virginia, married with 2 little
girls. I am doing some teaching and coaching and trying to teach the
Panther Philosophy to every player I can. I can't believe it has been over
10 years since I played for you. Seems like yesterday we were running
triangles, stars, blessing bats at the church and taking the five star
vacation to Laredo. Looks like you have upgraded with everything, including
spring break. I think all of us who have kept up with Neosho feel
tremendous pride in where the program is, and how you continue to get better
and better each year. As always, I wish nothing but the best for you and
the team this year, and what a great idea for us to keep in touch over the
website. I look forward to catching up with everyone soon.
Take care

Hello Coach. It was really cool to get on the website and see how some of
the guys are doing. It's crazy to think of some of those guys I played with
as family guys now. Married with children, not ol' NUB, yet. I am in a
serious relationship, and we live in the suburbs of Denver. I am a mortgage
broker out here and she is a finance specialist for Echostar. We have lived
here for a little over three years, and both love it. The weather is great,
(except for the recent blizzard that dumped about 40 inches of snow over the
last three weeks). We go to a lot of Rockies games, but never the
Broncos,(GO CHIEFS). I play golf all the time, and have my handicap index
down to a 1.7!!
I am happy to see the Panthers baseball program doing so well. It's
really cool to see Zack achieving so much. It looks like I might see
him out here with the Rockies some day. What is Mallori up to?
email: jwilliams.lfg@gmail.com 1-8-07 Nate Winegar - Good to see what many of you have been up to. As scary as this sounds I currently am a child psychologist with The University of Colorado Health and Science Center in Denver. I am the coordinator of a youth program that works with at risk youth. I have been working in the counseling field for about 8yrs now. I was married but I had trouble with the whole permanent thing. I have no children at this time. I still enjoy running and have raced in a few marathons (not for playing basketball though!!). Most of my time consist of working hard and then taking vacations around the country and in the Caribbean. I recently had a close encounter with a 7ft Lemon Shark just off the coast of Grand Turk. I hope all is well for you all and God bless. Here is a little update for you since I have not spoken with you in a few months. I was recently transferred to St. Louis about three months ago and we are living in St. Charles. My phone number is still 913-526-6761, but my work number has changed to 314-216-7206. I don’t know how long we will be in St. Louis, but we do plan to get back to Kansas City. I was living in St. Louis during the World Series and had to watch all the Cardinal fans celebrate. Not easy to do for a die hard Cub fan. My family has adapted well to St. Louis, but do miss being around Grandma and Grandpa. Let me know if you are going to be in St. Louis for any reason. I will call some time soon to catch up.

Hey coach, long time no talk. Nothing too exciting going on here. My wife Lacey and I are living in Arma. I work at Barton County Memorial Hospital in Lamar as a Medical Technologist and my wife teaches 2nd grade in Arma. No kids yet, but probably before too much longer. I can't believe Zack is playing for you, it seems like just a couple months ago he was 12 and practicing with us. Tell him I said hi....I'm old enough he probably doesn't remember me. Anyway, one of these days, I hope to make it down for the Alumni game and see if I can't embarrass myself. Talk to you later. I'm glad to know that NCCC Baseball is still improving and establishing the reputation of an elite JUCO program. I still keep up with the team by checking the website in the spring. I had a blast my two years there and have thousands of memories both on and off the field. I finished up my last semester of baseball at Pitt State last spring and will get my bachelors next semester. Besides going to class I will be umpiring SEK HS baseball in the spring. I'm still going through a strenuous bicep workout just like I did as a panther, hopefully I will still have some power for next years alumni game. I have been married for two years and living in Allen TX.
No kids yet although we have two basset hounds. I work for a mortgage company,
Homecomings Financial as a mortgage consultant. I have been with them for 8 yrs.
My wife Maharlika works for the same company in the accounting department. My
family is doing pretty good. My dad had a run in with cancer. They thought he
had pancreatic cancer (98%). When it was all said and done they did an 8 hour
surgery on him removed most of the cancer. Good news was it wasn't pancreatic
cancer. After his surgery a (few days after) they had to do an emergency open
heart surgery he had blood clots in his lungs. The Dr. was calling him his
miracle. His recovery is on schedule, the cancer is still there, however it is a
rare slow growing cancer. You might remember my nephew Jacob. He is a freshman
in high school, he is a pretty good athlete. He is 5'10 and can dunk a
basketball. We know those ups aren't from me. He is a pretty good centerfielder
as well, he can really cover some ground. I don't have any pictures to send at
this point of me. If you want to see my wife's picture she has a photo online
