Students Thriving, Achieving and Recognizing Success (STARS)
  
STARS is a federally funded TRIO Student Support Services Title IV project designed to assist eligible students in successfully reaching their goal of graduating from college. 
 
Mission Statement 
The STARS Student Support Services mission is to prepare eligible students to successfully achieve their academic, career and life goals.

Eligibility Requirements
Students are eligible to participate in STARS if they are U.S. Citizens or meet the residency requirements for federal financial assistance, are planning to graduate or receive a certificate from NCCC, and are planning to transfer to a 4-year institution. Student must also meet one or more of the following criteria:

• First-generation college student (neither supporting parent has earned a Bachelor’s degree)
• Meet federal income guidelines
• Have a documented disability

NCCC STARS Student Support Services is 100% funded through the US Department of Education at $287,886 annually.
