Assistant Coach Kat Carney is beginning her second season at Neosho County Community College. Carney comes to Neosho from Adelphi University where she played from 2007-2009. Prior to Adelphi Carney played at Neosho during the 2005-2007 seasons. While at Neosho Carney earned All-Region Honorable Mention, 2nd Team All-Conference, and NJCAA Academic All-American Honors. At Adelphi she made the 2007 NCAA All-Tournament team, 2008 All-Region Honorable Mention, and 2008 1st Team All-Conference in the East Coast Conference. Carney has coached summer volleyball camps in either Wichita or Chanute for the last six years. She earned her Associate of Arts from Neosho County in 2007 and her Bachelor of Arts from Adelphi in Communications with a concentration in Journalism/Photojournalism in 2009. She is the daughter of Pat and Aldona Carney of Wichita, KS and has four brothers, Zach (24), Martin (21), Tim (17), and Neil (15).
