Assistant Coach Zack Murry Hometown: Chanute, KS High School: Chanute High School College: Pittsburg State University Years as NCCC Assistant Coach: 2nd Coaching Career: Zack Murry is in his second year as an assistant coach for the Panthers. Zack serves as the hitting coach and defensive coach.
Playing Career: Murry comes to Neosho after playing three years in the Colorado Rockies organization. Zack was a high school All-American and played with Team USA Jr. National team between his junior and senior year in high school. Following a stellar senior season, Murry was named Player of the Year in Kansas and signed with Oklahoma State University. After a medical condition dropped him to a 19th round choice out of high school, Murry opted to play at Neosho for a year. He set numerous school records in his one year here and was also named an All American, All Region, and All Conference as a freshman. Three days after the season, Zack signed with the Colorado Rockies. After three years, Murry was released and currently attends Pittsburg State University working on a Secondary Education Degree. Zack was married in 2008 to the former Jory Wire.  He and his wife reside in Chanute.  Jory is a science/biology teacher in USD 413.  Zack is also an associate scout with the Colorado Rockies.
